The way you tell your story makes all the difference.

Whether it’s the words, the visuals, or both, I want to help bring your story to life. I can work with you on messaging, graphic design, and illustration.

People are more distracted than ever.

People are paying less attention.

The average attention span has fallen from 20 seconds to 8 seconds

Information isn’t read; it’s skimmed.

The average time on a website is less than 10-15 seconds

People are over-saturated with info.

The average number of times per hour an office worker checks their email: 30

“Good stories surprise us. They make us think and feel. They stick in our minds and help us remember ideas and concepts in a way that a PowerPoint crammed with bar graphs never can.”

-Joe Lazauskas and Shane Snow, The Storytelling Edge

Stories remain one of the few things to hold our attention.

Since the dawn of humanity, stories have been the primary means by which we absorb information. Whereas a website can barely hold a person’s attention for more than a few seconds, a good movie can keep that same person in their seat for more than two hours. How can you use this biologic disposition to change the way you communicate?

Compelling Messaging

Create simple, engaging messaging that incorporates a variety of time-tested story frameworks like “The Hero’s Journey” by Joseph Campbell and “The Storybrand Framework” by Donald Miller.

Powerful Visuals

Whether with illustrations or photography, find the right images to pair with your messaging in order to keep your audience engaged and invested in the story you are telling.

As a fellow storyteller, I know how hard it is to rise above the noise.

I want to take the lessons and experience I’ve honed to help match your story to the right medium.

Graphic Designer

For over 7 years, I have worked with brands to tell the right story to engage their audiences, whether a consumer, another business, or a donor. In that time, I’ve found that while every audience differs in what they are looking for, they’re all looking for someone to help them overcome their obstacles.

As a graphic designer, I’ll help you find the right layout and visuals to pair with your story in order to resonate with your target audience.

Illustrator

While illustration and graphics design share many things in common, the two require different strengths to do well. I’ve had the opportunity to work with top entertainment companies like IGN to create compelling content for their audience. I also enjoy creating my own children’s book and comics.

As an illustrator, I’ll work with you to determine if your story needs the unique visuals that only come by making them from scratch.

Storyteller

I’ve spent most of my life trying to understand what keeps a person turning the page. Over time, by helping brands understand their place in their audiences’ journey, I’ve found common elements no good story can do without. Here’s the most important one: you are not the hero of the story.

As a storyteller, I’ll come alongside you to find just the right words to get your message across, and keep your audience’s attention.

Here are just some of the organizations I’ve had the opportunity to work with:
